Failure to appear at the GP/practice nurse/doctor’s assistant without cancelling can have financial consequences for you.
Cancelling a consultation with a GP or doctor’s assistant
It may happen that you cannot or do not want to go ahead with the appointment. In that case, please call at least 3 hours in advance and let us know that you will not be coming. Another patient can then be scheduled at your time.
Cancelling a consultation with a practice nurse
This concerns appointments that are usually 20, but sometimes also 30-40 minutes. These appointments must be cancelled at least 24 hours in advance, so that we can perhaps schedule someone else.
What happens if you do not cancel in time?
Unfortunately, it often happens that a patient makes an appointment and then does not show up. This wastes a lot of time. After all, your arrival has been taken into account!
We can send an invoice for failure to appear without notice. You will then receive an invoice of 25.00 Euro or 50.00 Euro depending on the scheduled time. This invoice is not reimbursed by the health insurer and you must pay it yourself.
